School Sport Partnership ::

As part of the Governments new initiative known as the School Sport Coordinator Programmer, the partnership began in September 2002 as the Sedgemoor School Sport Alliance, serving the secondary and special schools in Bridgwater and Highbridge along with the Primary schools that feed them.

At that time this was one of the first such partnerships in the country. In September 2005 the partnership expanded to encompass the schools of Cheddar, Wells, Glastonbury and Street and so became the Sedgemoor and Mendip School Sport Alliance. Infant schools in the area have also joined the Partnership at this time.
