As part of our work on leadership and volunteering we have introduced Sport Leadership Academies for pupils across Sedgemoor and Mendip in Years 7 & 8. The pupils are selected for the Academies by their PE teachers, having demonstrated excellent leadership potential, and the ability to lead their peers in sporting activities. Out of over 3500 young people, 200 have been chosen, to work on their leadership skills and gain as much experience as they can within the school setting.
