Sports Leadership Academies

As part of our work on leadership and volunteering we have introduced Sport Leadership Academies for pupils across Sedgemoor and Mendip in Years 7 & 8. The pupils are selected for the Academies by their PE teachers, having demonstrated excellent leadership potential, and the ability to lead their peers in sporting activities. Out of over 3500 young people, 200 have been chosen, to work on their leadership skills and gain as much experience as they can within the school setting.

Below is a list of the Sports Leadership Acadamies that are running, and the young people that are in them:

The King Alfred School

Robert Blake Science College

East Bridgwater Community College

Crispin School

Hugh Sexey Middle School

Chilton Trinity Technology College

Haygrove School

Fairlands Middle School

St Dunstan's Community School
