The Sedgemoor Tag to Twickenham tag rugby Finals were held at Bridgwater Albion RFC at the end of March, and attended by the local cluster competition winners. Special guest Elisi Vunipola came along to watch, and presented the winners with their certificate. Elisi is the most capped Tongan International Rugby captain, and a true sporting role model for our young players.
The tournament was a fiercely contested affair, with some excellent tag rugby skills on display, and some fantastic support provided from the sidelines.
The winners of the competition go through to represent Sedgemoor and Mendip at the County Final in May, and we wish them the best of luck.
The results are as follows:
1st place - Wembdon St George
2nd place - Enmore and St Andrews
4th place - Sedgemoor Manor Juniors and St John and St Francis
Congratulations to all of the players, and a massive thank you to Bridgwater Albion RFC, our Young Sports Leaders, our St John Ambulance volunteer, and special guest Elisi Vunipola.
