Haygrove Sports Leadership Academy

This year has seen the launch of Sports Leadership Academies for pupils in Year 7 & 8, in 9 secondary schools across the Partnership. Pupils are selected to join the Academy following a recommendation from their PE teacher, which is based on the demonstration of leadership skills and a motivation to lead and volunteer.

Pupils from the Haygrove School Sports Leadership Academy (pictured) have had a hugely successful year so far, with each member accruing over 5 hours of leading and volunteering. This has been done in a variety of settings, from leading small parts of core PE lessons, to assisting Mel Bax (SSCo) with an array of primary school festivals.

Congratulations to all of our Sports Leadership Academy members across the Partnership, and we hope that you continue on your leadership journey next year.
